- What does "enlightened business" mean to you?
- Enlightened business means to me that the whole person is involved, body, mind and spirit. That the way the business runs enhances ALL life on the planet and that the products and services do to!
- Area of Expertise?
- I work with people personally, with ethical coaching and leadership development. I work with organizations in the areas of ethical effectiveness, change planning and implementation, strategy develoment and implementation and leadership.
- About Me:
- Kathryn brings her serial entrepreneur, teaching and spiritual practice background to her work helping leaders and teams create and navigate the desired future. In her 22 years working with change in organizations she has learned the secret that effective organizations are ethical organizations. Working with leaders and teams to address the need to think differently about their problems, she has been instrumental in co-creating significant shifts in organizations. Her passion is creating communities that generate enlightened business practices. Among her many client contributions are the Future Search strategic planning sessions she lead for the Department of Public Works in San Francisco. These sessions allowed the leadership to envision the future, plan, build teams and implement changes that brought the Department from being a thorn in the Mayor’s side to the 11th most improved in the nation within eighteen months. Working with the leadership team she facilitated their creation of internal and external structures to improve participation, communication and service; the development of teams to measure and improve the quality of service; improve the leaderships ability to work together; improve the service to both other government customers and the residents; improve vendor relationships and internal leadership capacity through the use of customized scorecards. This was done without creating friction with the Union. The uses of her unique assessment for better understanding culture lead to an ease of implementation and clarity of relationship that accelerated the pace of change without generating friction or resistance. Her values assessments lead to rich discussions that uncover hidden conflicts that could generate ethical and legal issues for her client firms. By combining her quality and measurement background with an understanding of the role relationships play in getting work done, she balances her approach between focusing on process and facilitating improved cultural dynamics, always with an eye on the impact on business results. Kathryn has a Master’s degree in Organizational Development and Transformation and has done doctorate work at Saybrook Graduate School in the areas of systems thinking and organizational development.

As beings who are awakening to this sustainable living ideal of NEW EARTH constructs - we are given a certain responsiblity to "pass it on" don't we? While the "present economy" has slowed our own resource generations substantially, it has certainly, and I must say synchronistically, brought a recurrring question to the front of many entrepreneurs -- "what can we do different to change/improve things"???
I keep feeling: As we serve others - we are thus served...
So while we do what we need to do to "hang in there" (or not) - it has befallen upon me (as for many others in our growing collective of awakening beings) to explore and join like minded soul brothers and sisters and catalyse this process of re-membering who we are, what we're here for and the options we have to maybe make things more serving??
All the who, what, where, when and how's are not all clear (to me) that is for sure. But move we must - even if it is not 'perfect'...
So as long as my businesses are still hanging in there - I shall also "use" them to be a messenger of sorts eh? Based on LOVE - I AM not to be a clanging bell! :)))
Anyhoo - here is the blog link where I quote some of your messages and post credit to you. I trust this meets with your OK!! ;))) If there is anything I mispeak there - please let me know...
Know that my intentions are first and foremost for our Collective awakening... I trust our businesses/storefronts are the still present energy (money) attractors to help continue "funding" our efforts... until a day when another form of currency (that is less limiting) can be embraced.

I read the german translation of Geshe Michael Roach´s book "The diamondcutter", do you work mostly with this book or which kind of base do you have?
Do you maybe could recommend me, basictext(when possible in german) which you are using?
